HOUSTON, OCTOBER 12, 2004 -- Air Routing International (booth No. 8800) a worldwide leader in corporate flight handling to the business aviation industry, announced that Miami-based Corporate Travel Consultants (CTC) has been retained as Air Routing’s service provider to satisfy the hotel requirements for the company’s flight crew client base that requires an exceptional level of service.
Over the past seven years, CTC has focused on developing a proven method for ensuring their clients’ travel service needs are met.
“We wanted to move the next level of travel related services for our clients,” said Tim Maystrik, vice president of Air Routing International. “We realized that from a safety and security standpoint, hotels are an area of increasing concern. We’re delighted to be working with CTC whose primary client base is flight crews. CTC is very well aware of flight crew requirements which includes making sure they get an early check in at a hotel; that they get the required amount of crew rest; that the proper amenities are there.”
Maystrik also said that Air Routing will be working with Air Security International, a leading provider of travel security information, which will also offer assessments on hotels. “We will incorporate that into our decision making on which hotel is best for the flight crews.”
We always knew there was a need for this flight crew support, Maystrik explained. “While we felt we have accommodated our clients’ requests adequately, we also understood that there are increased safety and security issues. That is why we wanted to get with a company like CTC whose primary client base deals with both corporate and commercial flight crews.”
Maystrik said comments about flight crew hotel accommodations come up often from Air Routing’s feedback staff, individuals who call clients after a trip and inquire about that trip.
“We do get occasional feedback that the trip was OK, but the hotel was not quite up to par with our other services,” Maystrik said. “We know this is a sensitive area for crews. You can do everything right. You can develop a flight plan and even obtain diplomatic clearances. But at the end of the day the crew may get to the hotel and say it is inadequate. That impacts their feeling about the entire trip. CTC should help us alleviate that problem.”
